Matters arising: Statement regarding camping on the site added to the website.
Chairman’s report: No Updates
Treasurer’s report: Pentland Hotel £20 room hire for AGM. Balance 3723.02
Oustanding cheque for £75 last forest meditation session.
Correspondence: Correspondence had been received from Rotunda with the very good news that the owner has agreed to hold the price of our latest quote until 31st March 2024.
NDA – after experiencing difficulty completing the online application, NDA have advised that their system has failed and information needs to be resubmitted.
Phone call from Baillie Windfarm asking for update on project.
Contacted Bad a Cheo regarding outstanding application. Suspected conflict of interest on panel. Feedback received regarding first aid provision and disabled access. EH has contacted Disabled Access Panel and will attend next meeting.
Caithness Environment Volunteers will be working in Rumster on Sunday 11th February.
Forestry and Land Scotland regular updates regarding windblow, path clearing, chipping, path to Golsary, damage to gate.
Strategic Plan: WM stated that he is happy that the Strategic Plan remains relevant and asked that directors review appendices for next meeting.
Business Development: RS to submit planning application.
Consider power requirements and solutions for heating and lighting. BD to speak with AES Solar and McInnes group. RS to speak with RDI.
Site Update: Camp kitchen
Site requires ongoing weeding and grass cutting as a minimum. Possible kitchen garden/foraging area?
Hedge needs trimming and fire pit needs some refurbishing.
No update from George Gunn re wall
Events: The January meditation had been cancelled due to the weather. Next meditation sessions are due 18th February and 13th March
Fundraising: EH to submit application to NDA. Update Bad a Cheo.
AOCB: Company email has several old emails. Use personal emails rather than rumsteroutdoors.
